Equine Assisted Learning (EAL)

Equine Assisted Learning also involves horses interactions but it focuses primarily on specific learning goals. Individual and team building exercises target areas to promote healthy personal and corporate relationships. It is ideal for corporate, school, and group organizations.

Equine Assisted Psychotherapy (EAP) and EAL involve activities with horses on the ground ( no riding is involved) that encourage the use of certain behaviors with nonverbal communication such as assertiveness, taking leadership, and/or responsibility, creative problem solving, team work, listening, confidence and corrective attitude. How the horse reacts to the client and the activity, and the client’s experience/role is what the focus of discussion is and future activities are chosen based previous discussions and interactions. The horse a natural metaphor for the client.
